Random crashing?
Hello fellow simmers! I recently installed the Sims 4 on my laptop and have experienced my game crashing within 20 minutes of game play. It doesn't happen at a specific time; it's very random. I te...
Fingers are all pointing to The Sims program itself from that log.
Are you GPU drivers up to date? If not update them.
If they are already up to date try going to Catalyst Control Center and resetting the 3D Properties.
Try a Repair from Origin?
How do I get a repair from origin? Also, what is the catalyst control panel or rather where can i find it to reset my 3D settings? My drivers are all up to date.
I really appreciate all your help!
Right Click on the game from inside the Origin program.

CCC (Catalyst Control Ceneter) is AMD's main program for their GPUs. It's the equivilent to nVidia Control Panel.
There is likely an icon at the bottom right, red/silver that can open it. Right clicking on the desktop should have an option to open it. Start-> All Programs or Start and type "Catalyst" in search or "AMD".
You may need to select "Advanced" mode instead of Basic.
Here is an example of what it looks like. There is a reset button somewhere, likely at the bottom.
Always get your drivers directly from AMD's website. Windows Updates is not a good way to get drivers.

The Laptop manufacture is also not a good place to get drivers past the first year of it's release. Often they are way out dated and cause extra issues. Rarely to never will you experience extra problems using Generic drivers from the source (i.e. AMD, nVidia, Intel).
I tired repairing the install with origin with no luck, sims still crashed. My drivers are updating from AMD as I type this so I will test it once again. As for opening the amd catalyst control panel, when I right click on my desktop, that isnt an option however "graphics options" is and when I click that, everything under 3D is defaulted.
Try a Clean Boot
