Re: after update black screen

I updated my game after getting a pop up for new content/an update on the EA app and, when the update was complete, I was met with a very nasty surprise. Since seeing what my game screen looked like, I've moved my mods and saves to my desktop, unistalled and installed The Sims 4 and nothing has changed. I'm sure the update has caused this as, when I played before the update, everything was working just fine. I really wanted to play my game today as it's the only game that I really like at the moment so this is a huge let down from EA. Any help would be much appreciated if anyone knows the true cause of this issue or, if it's from the update, any idea how to fix it.
