The game can decide (for reasons unknown) to use the version on OneDrive instead of the local version if OneDrive is active and the Documents
folder is synced which it is by default. There are two possible solutions if this is not wanted. Turn off OneDrive entirely or exclude Documents from syncing.
The latter is done in OneDrive Settings Auto Save. For Documents select This PC only.
