Re: Buying a new PC

@SweetE0204  I'd be happy to help you pick something out.  Are you ready to buy now?  Sales will change quickly, so there's no sense making a decision until you're ready.

It sounds like you're in the U.S., but pleaes confirm.  (I can also search in other countries, but stores and prices will be different.)  Also, do you want a desktop or a laptop, or does it not matter?  I just looked around for someone else, and you'd get a lot more for your money right now.  You'd need to buy a monitor separately, but that's easy enough (at Best Buy, or Amazon, or wherever you see a model you like).  The other advantage of a desktop is that you could add or upgrade parts as you needed them, instead of getting a whole new laptop.

I am in the US, and I'll be buying it in about a month, I already have a monitor and such picked out, it's just the computer itself that I'm unsure about. I'm looking for a desktop

@SweetE0204  Then that makes things a lot easier.  Rather than list out the best options now, it would be better to wait until you're ready to buy, so you can take advantage of whatever sales are available.  (I'll be around, if you want help looking.)  In the meantime, here's my recent post in the other thread I mentioned, so you get an idea of what's out there right now:

(Scroll down past the laptop info to get to the desktops.)

If you have any questions about hardware, now or later, please feel free to ask.
