@RaeAiello There's this issue that causes them to cook too much currently: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/NEEDS-SAVES-Excessive-autonomous-food-preparation/td-p/9724949 but they usually just let everything out and not put it in the fridge.
Did your household Sims make the cake ?
Does it say anything if you hover over the cake in the fridge inventory ?
