you have to wait until they're toddlers and then you can take them to CAS and change the name there.

How do I change them when they are toddlers? I can’t figure out how to change anyone besides the main sims

in CAS, just click on the toddlers portrait to make the toddler active and then you should be able to change the name in the upper left corner..
what's CAS? I haven't found any options to do anything
