Re: Can i restore households to a new computer? / why is my gallery empty?

@rkweb0202

If you uploaded your sims to the (public) gallery, yes, they should be there. If you did not upload them, they were saved in your local Tray-folder, the same as your saves are saved in you local saves-folder. 🙂

If you go to your old computer, to C:\Users\Username\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\ , you will probably have one folder called saves and one called tray. Copy these and move them via an USB/external drive, or zip them, email them to yourself and download them on your new computer. Put them in the corresponding folder on your new computer, and you should have access to your old saves and households/lots.

Good Luck and a Happy New Year!

    ahhh thank you!!! i had built some really cool houses on my old laptop and was worried i would lose them! Happy New Year to you too!

  • I need someone who plays the Sims 4 to personally show me how to do this. It's frustrating!

    Hi all,

    As this thread has gotten a bit older now, it's been locked to prevent necro-posting.

    If you're needing further help on this topic, please feel free to create a new thread instead and we'd be happy to take a look with you 🙂

    Don't "necropost." Reviving, updating or bumping old, outdated and irrelevant threads is not helpful for our community. It's best to check when the thread was created before you hit post, just to make sure it's not 2 years old for example.
