Re: can't update my sims 4 game

I have been trying to update my game since 24/03/23.

But every time i try to update it gets to 99% then restarts the process. Yesterday i tried to update it and 5 hours later it was still in the process of getting to 99% then never finishes and goes back to 0%.

I tried repairing the game today but it got stuck on 11% and said it would take 12757 years to repair. No joke.

I talked to EA player help today and they didn't help. They just said a lot of players are experiencing the same issue.

I cannot play sims without updating. I've been playing with the new infant update before this problem as well.

So I was wondering who else is experiencing this problem and if they found a solution.

I'm playing with the EA app on my PC laptop.

Same problem here, never had this issue with Origin. Unfortunately you can not go back to Origin.

@EMGlover  What happens when you try to update or repair?  If you get an error message, please post a screenshot.

Game is asking for an update, however this was completed a few days ago. Since bought expansion packs all dowloaded fine.

Gone to play today and now asking for an update again and my packs bought over the weekend are no longer linked, advising I needs sims4 base game to play.

    Deleted and re-installed EA

    Cleared cache

And currently in the process of repairing each expansion individually

Any help will be greatly appreciated

@7f1d9c1504cfc3e1  Where did you buy the packs: directly from EA, from Steam or Epic, or from a third-party vendor that provided codes for you to register?

Additionally, are you sure you're in the correct account?  The message about needing the base game should only appear if you've signed into an account that doesn't already own it, which might be the case for an alternate account.  Please double-check this account's purchase history for your previous purchases, not just the most recent ones, to see whether this is in fact the account you'd been using up until now.
