Try taking out your mod folder, place it on your desktop. Test the game, if it works, try the 50/50 method to find the conflicting CC/Mod.
Thank you, Phantomlover1717. Can you give a bit more information of what the 50/50 method is?
Maybe this helps:

Found it! Thank you so much, Phantomlover1717, for suggesting/sharing the 50/50 method. While certainly tedious, it was a methodical way to isolate the problem.

Could you share which mod was broken for you ?
Helps the next person find it faster.
Sure! I had a mod called "Tanja1986_No autonomous Computer 1.1" which appeared to be preventing all of the Sims in my household with a high enough writing level to actually write books. After removing that mod, the option came back. Not sure what other functionality might be missing by removing the mod, though. Hope that helps.

- Anonymous8 years agoYes. I had the same problem you mentioned above. I had to remove that mod also. I hate it when the sims play on the computer too much. That's why I installed the mod! Now I have to take it out.
Wow I have that mod! Thank you for sharing your issue so others could remove that mod!
