I tried that and it worked for a bit, I moved the mods back in then this error message popped up

That is a different issue

You'll need to load a prior game.

Did you save in that state ?

I had two issues after installing Cats & Dogs which turned out to be CC-related:
- a sim would try to take food out of the fridge but it would glitch and appear on the floor (see attached photo)

- the sims couldn't use the fridge (or even other objects in the apartment) at all

I followed the steps from the troubleshooting thread, went through all of my CC and found the following two objects that caused these specific issues:

- Pilar Collector Sofa.package

- SIMc-TSR-Gloss4-Bed.package

The issues only occurred while these two objects were placed in the household that I was currently playing in!

If anyone uses these CC objects, try deleting them from your lot or delete them in your Mods folder. I'm not sure what to do though if the issues still appear with all mods deleted/deactivated.

Removing sofas doesn't work so no the solution is not solved. I think it's a bug that EA needs to fix

Did you remove all your cc/mods ?

Did you try moving out and back in ?

I have had the same issue as mentioned above.

I removed the game from my pc and then installed it again, but the issue wasn't gone.

I then saw I had Pilar Slide Sofa in my mods folder (and also in my household).

After removing the sofa from the lot it fixed the issue.
I didn't even have to remove the cc from my Mods-folder.

Sad thing is that I realy like the sofa and would like to be able to use it again. ☹️

Sims4Studio might already have a batch fix for the sofa  issue

Also affected: Benches and any recolors of such. If you have the snow mod or any other re-texture mods, remove them as well.
