Re: cumulative ram requirements

@prezidentslowbro  The requirements stack a bit, but not nearly to the level of adding them together.  Even the most demanding pack in terms of memory probably only increases the game's overall RAM use by a few hundred megabytes.

The stated requirements on EA product pages are for the base game plus whichever single pack is being discussed.  And most of that RAM is being used by the base game, not the pack.

In terms of absolute values, 4 GB RAM is enough to run the base game plus a few expansions plus most game packs and all stuff packs and kits.  That doesn't mean that Sims 4 itself is using 4 GB—the OS will use some too.  Running Cats & Dogs alongside almost any other expansion seems to go poorly with only 4 GB installed, but 8 GB is enough to run all packs together.

The other major contributor to Sims 4's RAM use is the complexity of your save, in particular how many played sims you have and how far they've progressed.  Any time you're curious how much memory the game is using, just put it in windowed mode and open the Task Manager.
