@2441444 I believe there have been two times the EA App failed to recognize or validate Steam-owned content for a large number of players, and both were entirely resolved at the time. Since I haven't seen any other cases like yours in the past couple weeks, I would guess this is more specific to your system or your account.
Please let me know how things go on the Windows computer. If nothing else, it's a useful data point.
I had to competely reinstall sims again on my computer, because trying around with the app broke my setup (always opened the app in the workarounds, not through steam, which didn't let the game launch), and now this problem is resolved. It showed me the pop up for the kit and all the content is there in the game. Since I only tried getting the app to work independently after this, and could not do so before, that can't have been the problem. So I still don't know what the issue was but it fixed itself.

Does anyone know if the Basement and Greenhouse kits are fixed? I can't find any info. ;(
@The_Mercuria What problem are you asking about? The kits do work for most people, and the number of complaints about the content not downloading has decreased in the last couple days.

These kits show as owned in the EA app but would not download when I clicked to dl and none of the it
ems are in game.
If I uninstall the EA app and reinstall it, am I going to have problems with my already installed content? DLC, not mods or CC. I don't care about them.
Also, I just installed Steam and it seems to load up my game more quickly. The packs didn't work before I got Steam though.
@The_Mercuria Uninstalling and reinstalling the EA App shouldn't have any effect on your installed content.
For the rest, I moved your other post to the master thread for that issue, which is a bit different than this one, and replied there.
I uninstalled the EA app, then I installed Origin. LOL Anything to avoid the EA app.
Obvs that didn't work as I was prompted to install EA's app. Which I did, but not until after I saw Origin confirm all my DLC purchases. Then I continued with the EA app install.
My kits show up now.
