Re: [CURRENT ISSUE] Sims 4 Unable to Start, Already Running

Hello! I need help ASAP. So my game has an error where it says it's already running for Sims. However, after deleting every file, installing and uninstalling EA and sims, I found there are two files that I can't delete off my computer. My old EA file and my old Sims 4 file. How can I delete these files for good off my computer, because I can't find the location for them and I think it's reason why it's saying my game is running. I would appreciate any and every type of solution possible!

@r0s3ysims  I've merged your post with the master thread for the "already running" error.  Please see the first post on page one.

For the folders you can't delete, does it help to restart your computer?  If not, please list the full path to each folder, which you can see by right-clicking the folder and selecting Properties > General.  I'd like the Location.

@puzzlezaddict No, I restarted my computer a bunch, I'll try again just in case but so far nothing, I'll post the location in a bit. Thank you so much for the assistance!

@r0s3ysims  Looking at the screenshot you sent, I have no idea what this folder is for, maybe something to do with Oculus?  It's also possible that this is a leftover pointer or some other empty bit of data.  Regardless, Sims 4 wouldn't be reading the folder, so you can ignore it.

@puzzlezaddict The thing is thats the only EA folder I have with Sims within it. When I had it redownloaded before it was because I had an error that said couldn’t start the game (now i have en error saying its running). The version of sims within that folder is the sims i redownloaded it in. So I’m assuming since I cant access the folder at all it cant open Sims because its in it.

@r0s3ysims  Please try a new local, admin Windows account, as described in the first post.  Let me know how it goes.
