Thanks for the response! Unfortunately, that does not seem to help. I have cleared the cashe and now I do not show any app shortcuts on my desktop! Also, I went to the Program Files (x86), Origin Games, The Sims 4 - Everything seems to be there, but I do not see the Origin app in my Menu List to start programs, so does clearing thc cashe do anything if I don't have the app installed anymore? Do I need to reinstall the Origin app? (Okay, I just read that the Origin App was uninstalled when the new new EA Games App was installed. Eveything was working fine until I made my latest purchase!)
When I go to the Library, of course it says "Your library is empty.' It also says that "You can now find all your owned ADD-ons, game editions, and versions by going to the base game's Game Hub." How do I get to that?
Thanks for your help!
@CatSimmer It sounds like you might be signing into the wrong EA account, as in, not the one you used while Origin was still viable. (It doesn't work in Windows anymore, and the EA App might have uninstalled it during an update, which started happening earlier this year.) Using the EA App rather than Origin doesn't change the location of already-installed games, which is why you're seeing Sims 4 in the Origin Games folder. But having the game installed doesn't mean the EA App will recognize you own it if you're not already in the correct account.
Point is, check your purchase history on ea.com (Account Settings > Order History) to see whether this is in fact the account that bought your Sims 4 content. If it's not, try your other email addresses. If it is the correct account, uninstall the EA App and download a new copy of the installer to use.
