Re: ea app black screen or sometimes not launch at all

@Zilverwolf2  Please force the EA App to update.  Go here:

C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\EA Desktop

and launch the EAUpdater.exe.  This often clears up issues relating to the App failing to load properly.

If the EA App starts crashing or refusing to open again, please post in this thread, providing the info requested in the accepted solution:

The characters in GameVersion.txt is not a problem, just something about how the file is coded now.  It doesn't mean your game is broken.  Feel free to post here if it matters to you:

    @puzzlezaddict Thank you very much for your help. I thought the two issues were somehow related. I looked in several topics beforehand for solutions but they did not work. I will try the forced update later today. See if that helps. If not i will post in the topics you mentioned.
