Re: EA App can't disable packs

@Demetra111  I've split your post into its own thread since it's about a different issue than the original thread.

You can in fact disable packs within the EA App:

https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2017/03/disable-single-packs/

However, you need to launch Sims 4 directly from the App, not from your desktop shortcut.  If this doesn't work, if you are in fact pressing the Play button on the Sims 4's info page (not from a shortcut and not from Installed Games on the left of the screen) and your packs are still loading, please let me know.

@mariaxchears  Are you playing through Origin, the EA App, or Steam?  How are you launching Sims 4, as in, what exactly do you click on?  As I mentioned in my previous post, if you're using the EA App, you can't launch from the game's desktop shortcut or the Installed Games list, and I don't know whether Steam supports disabling packs at all.

@puzzlezaddict I was playing through the EA app and launched all three ways to no avail. I knew something had to be wrong on my end.  I had disable spelled wrong.  Thank you though because I didn't know there was a difference in launching

@puzzlezaddict Hey! I'm having trouble disabling packs too but for a different reasons. I have no option to disable packs, the link says to go to View Applications but I don't have that option. Any help?

The first one is what I see, the second one is what its supposed to look like according to what I could find online. I also don't have an option to repair the game.

    Thanks again

@CateHD Since you're using the steam versions, you need to use instructions for steam. You should be able to add the options on steam.

@crinrict I had no clue there was an option to enable those settings on steam? Where abouts is the option located?

Your a life saver, thank you! 🙂

Click on the link given in the solution post. If you click on the banner where it says How to add a command line argument you'll also find instructions for steam. I'm adding a pic for your convenience though.

This is a decent unofficial solution/workaround, but unbelievable that EA still can't be bothered to provide a convenient way of doing it through the app 👎

Guess I'll have to hunt down the pack number then, ugh...
