Re: EA app, disabling/removing packs and auto updates

@Landverhuizer  I believe the EA App will try to reinstall your missing packs after each game update, although the App has changed so much in the past few months, it's possible that's no longer the case.  What's been true with the App and was also true with Origin is that having auto game updates enabled means the app in question tries to reinstall missing packs every time rather than only after an uninstall.  The option to disable auto updates should be under Settings > Application, which in turn is in the dropdown menu in the upper-left corner.

At any rate, you can try the very unofficial method of simply deleting the packs' folders from the game's program files.  Unless you changed the default install location, the program files are probably here:

C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 4

C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4

Each pack has its own folder, named by type of pack and release order, for example the folder for Get to Work is EP01 because GTW was the first expansion released.  Here's a full list of packs:

The EA App may still try to download the packs after the next update, but you can delete them again.  When deleting, make sure the App is closed and the EABackgroundService is NOT running in the Task Manager.

The other option is to simply disable the packs from loading.  This avoids the hassle of deleting the folders over and over again.
