- @puzzlezaddict thank you. very curious as to the 'why', however. i remember initially seeing that the app in question wasn't registered with them ...or however they termed it.
@mjohnstr We don't really know why, at least not on the level of the data that your antivirus is reading. This same thing happened back in November with a major update, including the notifications that TS4_x64.exe was from an "unknown publisher"; this may be a false positive or may have something to do with how the .exe is digitally signed. (It could also have been that some certificate expired or wasn't applied correctly, but you'd think EA would be on top of that sort of thing.)
At any rate, if you're downloading from Origin, you know what you're getting and that you can ignore the antivirus's warnings.
