My thought exactly. I have six files just exploding with errors, all the same errors on different lines..

Did you try moving all save games to the desktop and start a new game for testing purposes ?

I'm really so scared to break it. I've always loved Sims.

But when I got a Macbook Air, and Sims 2 for Mac, I could not install the game at first, and then I could not play.
Then I got a Macbook Pro, and Sims 3 for Mac/PC and I could play but it randomly stopped way to many times.

I called, emailed, contacted Apple and EA, and after a year of frustration I found out that if I got the 15" instead of the 13" I would have been able to play smoothly. And the 13" was recomended to me by a Apple trained person, for playing the Sims.
So now I have an Alienware, and I've played Sims 3 and Sims 4 without problems. 
I know it all has nothing to do with the Sims itself but I'm so scared because of it. 

Tried it, and it works perfectly. Put it back again and it stopped working...
Took out the saved files from after Outdoor Retreat, and it´s working fine.
So it seems to be linked to Outdoor Retreat and the saved files.... 
Put back a few, worked fine.

Put back the last saved file, and it´s broken again. 
Have you tried travelling with a pregnant sim yet?

Took out all the old games and kept the newer ones, still broken.

Took out: slot_00000001.save and it's not working. 

With this one I have a problem:

• Please check if you have any generic lot types in your town, instead of residental and if so, try changing the lot type to residental.

I don't have an option to put it on residental, my game is Dutch, I have Generic, Bar, Library, Lounge, Museum, Nightclub, National Park, Park, Gym.
And all of the houses are on, in Dutch 'Particulier' Google translates that as: "private individual" but 'consumer' would be more logical.

Tried the Bart Simpson method like even before coming to this place, did also delete the gameversion.txt (it was on a different version). 
Nothing works, only deleting my last save file and I don't want that one gone.....
