Re: Game Crashes

I mean that it changes the screen size resolutions. So everything looks super zoomed in and I have thick black bars on the sides that become the new boarders of my screen

@clarkiest That sounds strange. I've split your posts and move to the tech forum. Someone else will assist you further.
  • This is what I mean btw(sorry it's a bit hard to see bc it looks dark). But you can see the edges of my monitor vs the weird new screen size.

  • @clarkiestUpdate! After repairing my game a billion times and deleting my localthumbcache.package it at least no longer does this to my laptop but the game itself still freezes time and makes my sims cycle through actions

@clarkiest  Please install this slightly newer graphics driver from Intel:

    https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/sku/85215/intel-core-i75600u-processor-4m-cache-up-to-3-20-ghz/downloads.html

Restart your computer after installing and before doing anything else.

When you launch the game, put it into windowed mode and bring up the Task Manager's Processes tab, like what you had in your screenshot but scrolled all the way to the left, so we can see the list of processes and the CPU and Memory use.  When you start to see performance issues, switch to the Task Manager (but don't minimize Sims 4) and take a screenshot of that Task Manager window.
