If you want to change it now, the only supported way is to uninstall and reinstall. You can try this workaround if you like though; the worst that can happen is you'll need to reinstall the game:
The user files are a different issue. These are stored locally on your computer, in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4. If you want your saves or anything else you've done in-game to appear on the new computer, you'll need to transfer the content manually. EA doesn't support cloud saves for Sims 4.

Finally, for posting in Game Issues, the problem could be that the language on this site didn't match the one of that particular forum. The next time you want to post, make sure that you've selected English at the top of the screen, next to "About AHQ." Additionally, if you eve run into this issue in the bug forum, type something in the text field; it's not enough to simply fill out the bug template itself.
