Hello,
Have you tried turning 'Post Production' effects off in the Graphics part of the Options Menu.
Alternatively, try playing around with turning on 'Uncompressed Sim Textures', increasing the 'Sims' graphics quality setting to a higher one (i.e. Very High), or whether you're in Laptop Mode. Be warned though - this may reduce your peformance in the game, so see what's best for you.
