Re: I bought and expansion pack through the steam app for sims, now I can’t access

@Lanceleve1234  Please uninstall Sims 4 and the EA App with Revo Uninstaller (the free version is fine), as described here:

Be sure to rename the Sims 4 folder that contains your saves and other user data first so that Revo doesn't remove it.

Reinstall the game through Steam as well as the expansion you own there.  Reinstall the EA App and install the packs you own there, but not a second copy of the base game.  Then launch the game through Steam and let me know whether your packs load.

    I originally did re download on steam- witch is the one that won’t load any of the old expansions just the ones that I bought through steam- 

    i un installed again and have been trying to download sims through the EA app but it’s been 4 hours and the game is still downloading and it doesn’t give me a percent or estimated time

    @Lanceleve1234  Please cancel the download in the EA App, restart your computer, and download through Steam.  That's the only way to get both your Steam- and EA-owned content to load in-game.

    I did that- canceled and deleted on EA and then just on steam- but still none of my old expansion are showing up

    @Lanceleve1234  Okay, just to be clear, you installed Sims 4 through Steam, and you also downloaded your packs from the EA App?  If not, that's the second part of the process.  You should be able to do so through Sims 4 > Manage > Manage add-ons.

    If you've downloaded the packs through the EA App but they're not loading in-game, you probably have this issue:

    If you're not sure what's going on, run the search described in the first post for two or three missing packs and provide screenshots of the results.

    When o go to EA to download the DLC after is says manage through steam. And when I go to steam not even one DLC pack shows up to download it wants me to re purchase them

    @Lanceleve1234  I think there might be a miscommunication here, but I'm not sure whether it's on your end or mine.  When you own packs through both the EA App and Steam, each game launcher will only allow you to download the packs you own there.  So you can only download the one pack you bought in Steam through Steam, not through the EA App.  The App will say "manage on Steam" for that pack.  It should NOT say "manage on Steam" for any packs you own through the App.

    Steam will only show the one pack you bought there as owned.  It will say you haven't purchased all the packs you own through the EA App.  This is normal and fine, and it's why I said download the base game through Steam, then any packs you bought from EA through the EA App.

    If this isn't possible, if EA is telling you to "manage through Steam" for the same pack that Steam says you have to buy, please make sure you're signed into the correct Steam and EA accounts.  Open a private browser window, go to any EA site (this one is fine), and login with your Steam credentials.  You should land in the EA App account you're using.  If you land in a different account, or if you get an error instead, let me know.

    Otherwise, please post screenshots of Steam saying you don't own a certain pack and the EA App telling you to manage that same pack through Steam.
