Re: i have to redownload the sims once I have a new comp? Will my old games be on it

@nikkitimesthree

Yes that's correct. But it seems you've only zipped one file? You can zip the whole folder if you want everything. Or maybe you named it that yourself? 🙂

    Oh okay, I have a folder that's compressed called 'saves' now, It tried to select them all at first but it only compressed one.

    Alright it was too large so it became a google drive, are you actually able to email yourself or do I do it to a diff account?

    No you can email yourself, it works fine 🙂
    If you upload it to drive the link is enough. Just make sure is has uploaded everything before you download on your other computer.

    Cool! Thanks for all the help. I'm going to be doing a lot of this today. I just have to download the games on the new comp, download the file and put it in the saves then?

    I have a question I hope you can answer regarding this same topic. My SIMS4 would not let me open it, I tried everything so I made a copy like your instructions indicated.   I then removed SIMS4 and origin and then reinstalled,  then added my files back and SIMS4 now works but its as if I am starting from scratch and it does no see or recognize my files.  I cant figure out how to fix my issue.  Any ideas?  Thank you in advance.

    Yes that's correct. Make sure that the files are directly in the new saves-folder so that you don't have a sub-folder when you start the game 🙂

    @StaryNightCourt

    Like Nikki said, make sure the folder is unzipped. Also start the game and check in your screenshot-settings that the game uses the same directory as you. (see picture below)
    If the screenshots are in C:\Users\Username\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Screenshots and the saves are in C:\Users\Username\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\saves and it does not work, please post a screenshot of your saves folder.

    If the screenshots are somewhere else, please post the location they're in 🙂

    Thank you so much! my sims game is working now and I'm having a blast with my new computer. Some of the files I couldn't download from drive so I used a USB but it was easier to transfer smaller files!
