That wont matter.
what code are you talking about? because i may not have one

The code that was in the boxed copy. If you bought directly from Origin you won't have a code.
what if you never bought the disc, could you still play?

@skyler_heroux @queenjuliapanda You don't need the disc. The DRM for this game is Origin that works like Steam. Normally if you buy the game through Origin the game will automatically be added to your Origin library and you can digitally download the game and it will be activated. If you bought the boxed game with the disc you need to activate the game with the code that was supposed to be in the box and redeem that code in your Origin account. you can download the Origin installer separately. I believe there is some kind of sale going on right now until May 14th 2020. The reason for selling a boxed game is for unauthorized retailers to sell the game rather then buying just the code. The box needs to be factory sealed. You don't need the disc as once activated in Origin you can get the digital download from Origin. If the box was open either the code was taken and/or copied. the code can only be accepted by the system once. After that the code is locked to the account in use at the time the code was used. Used games probably won't work. Open boxes probably won't work. I recommend activating the game as soon as possible. The code is what you are paying for. When you pay for the game you do not own the game. What you are paying for is a license to use the software according to the EULA (end user license agreement). EA still owns the rights to the game.
