    Also after patching ? Not sure what could be causing this.

  • Yep installed update earlier this evening. It is weird because the cheat console does appear but it just won't stay open
  • Hi Crin

    It's working now. I enabled Origin in game play. I then repaired the game and now it's fine. I know this explains absolutely nothing but bring on the motherlodes 🙂

    I know this is late commenting but for those of you who still have the problem I will tell you what was hindering my command console. Another program with those same keys for initiating the console will do that to you. For me it was Gyazo. I just ended the process in task manager and the console popped right up. I wonder if i was in full screen instead of windowed on my Sims 4 would I have had that same problem? Anyways that's it.

    how do you enable origin in gameplay and repair the game? I can't find anything under the gameplay options that would achieve this. sorry if this is a dumb question.

    Right click on the game in Origin and choose repair game. Make sure the game isn't running.

    I don't know if this post is still alive or not

    But for those who are coming in here to find the answer to the similar solution

    Just go to game option > Other > Check the Script mod box

  • I'm having the same problem with not being able to get the cheat box up on my screen. I have a Mac (and I'm not very tech savvy so if someone could explain to me how I need to fix this on TS4 that would be great!

    Which keys are you using ?

    It's CTL-SHIFT-C and NOT CMD-SHIFT-C

  • Whenever I try to bring up the cheat console it either takes a screenshot and opens gyazo or just brings up gyazo. Do you have any advice or instructions on how to stop that?

    @cravingxsanityy

    Gyazo has obviously changed the keyboard settings on your Mac. Disable/uninstall Gyazo and check your keyboard settings and modifier key settings in System Preferences.

  • how did you repair the game,mines doing the same ive got more ruddy screen shots.it worked and then it just stopped  i went into task master and all ive got is microsoft edge and origin in it.help

    to get the cheat menu up its shift-ctrl-c

    @TheSuperWolf100

    Yes, CTRL, Shift and C/Shift, CTRL and C, the order of the keys makes no difference. But as you can see from this thread 3rd party software, particularly screen shot software, changes to the keyboard mapping and modifier keys or unknown broken CTRL keys can all cause the cheat console to not appear.
