I have a similar problem, I can see the plantsims, but the stump just doesn't get placed, no matter what. Place in world option wont work, me trying to place it wont work.. it just stays red and doesn't say why. Tried moving things around, open more space, but nothing helps. No lag or anything, just... nothing... Attaching 2 possible solutions for place i tried, none worked. Don't have any mods nor cc here.
Tashinha, Your lot is pretty small, and the stump grows into a giant tree! 😮 It has to be big enough for a Sim to walk through it, similar to the tree in the town that came in the base game (not Oasis Springs -- the other town whose name I forget, but it is the one with the Goths and the Spencer-Kim-Lewis families!) I would include a picture of my full grown magical bean stump tree, but I'm a Noob when it comes to things like that & I don't know how to put pictures in my posts! 😳 LOL Either you can tell me how you did it, or someone else can post a picture. Looking at your lot, I'm pretty sure you just don't have enough room for this tree! 😢

In the image with the narrow strip along the house there simply is not enough space.
In the other image there should be enough space. I can't see the upper floor but I would suspekt that that is what blocks it.
Also sometimes children/toddlers can leave toys lying around that can be hard to spot on the ground.
well, i left a space in the front for that, which is bigger than the stump by at least 2 squares on each side. i will have to move the entira househol then, because the area is pretty small... maybe second floor is occupying tree space?
I just solved it! It was the second floor that had something like 4 squares that wasnt letting the tree grow! Thank you so much, guys! ^^
