Legacy Edition forced on 64 PC

This patch forced the Legacy Edition on my high-end gaming PC. Some things do not work anymore. How do I get rid of it? Thanks!

    OK. Fellow Simmers, 

    by sheer luck I managed to resolve this crisis.

    I was so upset that I dared to do it manually.

    Go to the Origin Games folder, Open Sims 4, find the Legacy Edition (it is the latest change to the files, so sort according to "date modiied") 

    DELETE it.

    Upon opening Origin, Origin will try to convince you that you need the LE. Do not give in. Go to game options, switch from LE to 64bit regular Edition - everything will now be ok.

@Cherwell99 I tried this and it told me I needed permission from administrators to make changes but i AM the administrator as its MY computer! So once again Im stuck and im VERY VERY close to deleting The Sims 4 all together because its just not worth the stress its putting on me! ☹️ And I used to like this game too.

    @lkrause74 The path to the game files is on one of the main drives (often "C" or "D") 

    "Program Files (x86)" then "Origin Games" then "Sims 4" and then I think it contained these letters "...LE..."" and I had the most recent date for installing. I simply deleted the complete folder. And was lucky!!!!

    Concerning the ADMINISTRATOR request there may be two issues: a) Either the game or Origin is still running. In order to delete the Legacy Edition both Sims 4 and Origin must be closed (if you got it via Steam then that would probably need to be closed as well.) CAUTION: Origin or Steam may be running in the background. If in doubt use the Task Manager. 

    b) If everything is closed then simply confirm that you are the administrator. If you have got high security settings you might have to enter your password for your Administrator account (or your current Windows account if you have got administrative rights).
