Re: Lost Sims 4 Disc and Activation Code

@ThatNerdyNewt  You don't need the disc or the code, and in fact you wouldn't be able to use either one if you had it.  When you install Sims 4 via disc, you're also required to register the code to an Origin account, and once that happens, the code can't be reused, even on the same account.  But you can simpl login to that account and find Sims 4 already in your game library.

If you're not sure what account you or your sister might have used initially, you can try entering any email address you have in an Origin sign in window and clicking "Forgot your password?"  Any address associated with an Origin account should receive a password recovery email.  Be sure to check the spam folder as well.

    Hi, thank you so much.

Believe it or not, but she doesn't have Internet at home. So, the game worked without registration.

I, however, have all the games on Origin. If I downloaded it for her from my origin account, she should be able to use her disc to play, right?

@ThatNerdyNewt  I honestly don't know how things worked back in 2014, when the game came out.  Now, one of the requirements is an internet connection to authenticate ownership, and I always thought that was true of even the first discs.

At any rate, if you download the game from your Origin account to your sister's computer, she'll need to login to your Origin account to play.  While she can probably sign into Origin in offfline mode for a while, eventually she'll likely need to go back online to reauthenticate the account.  The disc has nothing to do with this, and it's not necessary to use a disc for any game downloaded directly through Origin, whether the game is launched with the computer online or not.
