Re: Musical genius aspiration not working
Many aspirations require doing something a certain number of times or gaining skills. That makes it very frustrating when the count does not register or returns to zero. Here are some things I have found that work.
Before opening your game go to the Origin launcher and right click on the game and choose repair.
Go to The Sims folder in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 find localthumbcache and delete it.
If you are already in game:
Change to another aspiration wait a moment and change back again.
Travel to another lot and stay for a short bit.
Both of those should allow the game to "remember" what you have already achieved.
Side note: When playing a household of more than one Sim I sometimes have one Sim travel to another lot alone. Using the option to "bring Sim here" (by clicking on their portrait) seems to trigger the active aspiration to reset. Having the same Sim travel to another lot restores their progress.
