@jailynnccarlos  The paper icon next to the mod means Windows now has a file association: that if you double-click on this type of file, Windows will automatically open it with Notepad or whatever you chose.  That in itself doesn't matter.  What does matter is if you tried to open the mod—that can damage the file and make it unusable.

Trash this copy of the file, download a new one, and choose "save file" rather than "open" when asked.  If your browser doesn't give you that prompt, use another browser instead.  And don't open the mod, just put it inside your Mods folder.
