Of course i did. it did not fix the problem

  • Hm, that sounds pretty rough. Try out the steps below and let me know how it goes. Fingers crossed!

Head over to your Documents and then Electronic Arts. If you have a Sims 4 folder listed here, click and drag it to your desktop. I would also rename it, for extra assurance that the file won't be affected by the next steps.

Follow this process to make sure all files and registry keys related to the game are completely gone: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Manually-uninstalling-The-Sims-4/td-p/3447927

Follow this process to uninstall Origin: http://help.ea.com/en/article/manually-uninstalling-origin/

After they're uninstalled, I would recommend using Ccleaner to clear out any other files that are lingering.

Reboot your PC in Safe Mode with Networking. If you are more comfortable using the discs, then pop in The Sims 4 disc 1 and reinstall Origin and the game. Otherwise, I would recommend going to origin.com and downloading the client from there and then downloading The Sims 4 from the EA servers.

Launch your PC in normal mode and attempt to play the game. If it works, move The Sims 4 folder that you moved to your desktop earlier back to Documents>Electronic Arts (you can delete the new The Sims 4 folder that generated there) and try the game again. If the issue returns, then you most likely have a corrupt saved game and you will either need to find and delete the save file or completely delete The Sims 4 folder and start a new game.
