The move objects cheat is used to move things where you could not normally place them. It can not cause things to be replaced or disappear. It sounds like you have downloaded a lot that uses CC items. Unless you have these CC items yourself they will be removed or replaced with basegame items. The author should in the description note what CC has been used and where to get it but sadly not all do. It will be marked as having CC though so you can see that some things will be either removed or changed if you decide to download it. You can remove the check by "Include Custom Content" in the search so you do not see those that includes CC.
Edit. Note that EA changed the behavior when the author has used the move objects cheat to temporarily turn it on when placing such a lot and show you a warning that move objects had been used. Is that what you saw?
