Re: Re: Sims 4 keeps crashing when I try to travel

@mahoganywood28  Error 109 messages are usually related to mods or custom content, and the one recent post I found with your exact error code (109:83d903d1), one user said disabling their cc fixed it.  You've said you're not using mods, but some players don't count custom content, so please remove your Mods folder if you have any cc.  If not, then loading a backup save would be the next step.

Your dxdiag also lists a number of crashes of the graphics driver.  These aren't necessarily related to Sims 4 and definitely wouldn't generate an in-game error code, but the issue does need to be addressed.  Since your driver isn't fully updated, you can just install the newest version from Nvidia:

https://www.nvidia.com/Download/driverResults.aspx/192967/en-us/

Choose the custom install route and check the box to perform a clean install.  Restart your computer afterwards before doing anything else.

    UPDATE:

I removed ALL Custom content, and started a fresh game, everything was working fine for awhile, even after I moved a few mods back and CC. Yesterday I built a new commercial LOT in Del Sol Valley, I then uploaded it to my library. I traveled to a Sims house to get her to visit my new lot, I got a travel error on the way there, and had to restart game. Tonight I went back to the Sims home, and had her travel to other lots, she traveled just fine to other lots, but every time I try to have her travel to my new lot, I get the travel error again. I bulldozed the lot and replaced it with the one in my library, but I am still getting a travel error for that lot. What is the problem now? The travel error I got this time is,   123:20ece5dd:cc50e714

@mahoganywood28  If you used custom content on that lot, that could be the issue.  Some cc is totally fine until you use it, or use it in a particular way.

To "clean" the lot, you could temporarily remove your cc, then place that lot in a new save and save the cc-free copy to your library.  I don't know whether that will fix it, but it's easy to try.

The CC that's on that Lot is being used on other lots without a problem. Why is it I can travel to other lots, including residential lots with the same CC but NOT that lot? This makes NO sense to me. I literally had her travel to 7 other lots, where some actually has the tables and chairs, and a juice maker that I'm using on that lot without a problem, but when I try to go to that Lot, I get the travel error. How can it be the CC? Could it possibly be that the LOT itself is corrupted?? If I am facing a corrupted lot, then what can I do about that? It can't always be the CC!!!

The reason I'm suspecting that it's a corrupted lot is because it's showing a triangular error over the lot, and showing the lot as NOT completed when it is. All of the green arrows are checked off as a completed lot, yet it's showing an error over the lot saying its not completed?

@mahoganywood28  The error icon you're describing is almost always related to mods or custom content, going back years.  I'd still like to know whether "cleaning" the lot of cc helps.

As to why that cc is fine on other lots, the game is weird sometimes.  But also, it's possible that some cc could replace or interfere with other objects on the lot that are required for one lot type but not others.

Okay, I will remove everything from that Lot that's CC and see if it's actually CC.

Soooo, I took all of the custom objects out which were basically chairs, tables, windows and doors. I then had my Sim travel there and she was able to. So now I'm wondering if it was the chairs and tables, or windows and doors. I suspect the windows. So now I'm going to put the same window there, to see what happens. And of course I will do each object to find out which of these objects is not working on that lot. YOU WERE right!! Be back to UPDATE later after my test.

I went back to my game, and one by one, I placed a CC object I used before, each time I sent her to the lot, she was able to travel there. So I placed all of the windows back on the first level of the lot,  and  the tables and chairs since I had already tested them, and when I tried to travel back there, I got the error again. Before, when I placed ONE off each of the same objects there, she was able to travel to the lot. But the last time after adding more back in, I got the error again. SO now I have NO IDEA what is causing the travel error.

@mahoganywood28  I'm sorry this is so frustrating for you.  It does sound like a custom content item is the issue, but perhaps it takes more than one travel transition or loading of the lot to make the error kick in.  I'm not sure there's an efficient way to test either, unfortunately.
