@MyDogPlaysSims4  There's no reason you'd need to start with reinstalling the game—a clean user folder (the Sims 4 folder in Documents\Electronic Arts) should be enough.  But you can't just put the Sims 4 folder back in, you need to work with the clean folder itself and transfer your content over slowly.  Test your cc in batches, splitting any group that doesn't work so you can figure out which files are the problem.  Once you have your cc sorted out, and mods if you use them, you can move the contents of your Saves and Tray folders to the new Sims 4 folder as well.

And to answer your question, no, there's no reason a specific computer wouldn't be able to use cc.  Low-end systems might struggle with a lot of cc, or some high-poly items, but that would cause graphics glitches, delays in loading, maybe even crashing.  The cc would still load though.  The fact that yours doesn't show  up at all means the issue is different.

@MyDogPlaysSims4  If you delete the Sims 4 folder in Documents\Electronic Arts, the game will create a new one the next time you open it.  But you don't need to delete it outright—removing it and placing it somewhere else will work fine.  As long as the folder isn't in its usual place, the game won't find it and will create a fresh version.  That way, you can test your cc in a clean game folder, but still keep your saves if you want to use them later.

  • i deleted the sims 4 folder a while ago and it never re generated or anything i dont know what to do

  • i know but ive opened the sims many times and tried to repair it but the folder is still gone

@MyDogPlaysSims4  Open a File Explorer window, type "config" in the search box, and look for any files with that name.  There will be exactly one config.log in each Sims 4 user data folder, including whichever one the game is currently using.  So for each file you find (there may be more than one), please click on it, then copy the file path and paste it here.  The file path shows above the list of files.
