Game crashing after Sep 18 update

My mum's game has been crashing since the update september 18th. She will be able to play for a bit but it just ends up crashing after a while. I have tried updating her mods like usual, Repairing the game, Deleting the local Thumb cache. In the folder, it spawns a file called 'last crash'. I've attached it below!

  • jimels1  Most of the errors in the dxdiag are crashes of the graphics driver, which is from 2021.  So it may be sufficient to update the driver.  You can get the newest version from Intel here:

    https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/sku/208658/intel-core-i51135g7-processor-8m-cache-up-to-4-20-ghz/downloads.html

Run the installer as an admin: right-click the download and select "Run as administrator."  Restart the laptop afterwards and before trying to play.

As a side note, the C drive is somewhat low on space, but the internal drive has been partitioned in half for some reason, and the D partition is almost empty.  Unless you or your mother has a specific reason for this arrangement, I'd suggest moving the data currently on D to C and then removing the partition, which will erase whatever is on D.  A single 500 GB drive is easier for most people to manage than two smaller partitions, and it doesn't look like D is used much anyway.

  • jimels1  The lastcrash file didn't attach, but that's fine, most of it isn't usable by anyone not from EA.  Instead, please try playing with the Mods folder removed.  Your mom doesn't have to save her progress; this is just a test.

If that doesn't help, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

  • she has been playing with the folder removed i believe. ill check but if she has it still has been crashing. Shes playing right now if it does crash ill do a dxdiag.
