Re: Sims 4 - Sim will not move during game play

If you have mods/cc, you may need to check to make sure they're not out of date.

Regardless if you're using mods and cc or not, clear your game cache files and delete the localthumbcache.package from the Sims 4 folder to help with troubleshooting.

The newest game patch broke several mods and custom content. This can happen as we get updates for the game. Players using mods and cc have to go through their mods folder to find what needs to be deleted or replaced.

Can you tell me what "lastException_" followed by a bunch of numbers means? Is this something I should delete? Thanks.

  • That is a game error file. I've gotten them occasionally. Specially when I've had outdated mods/cc in my game. Once you take care of the outdated mods it should no longer be a problem, and the lastException file can be safely deleted.
