A game like the Sims 4 demands a lot of power. This in turn means there are more heat to disperse. so the fans must work harder.
For your overheat problem make sure to clean out dust. You may also consider a cooling pad
@jpkarlsen Sorry, I can't. My laptop have had overheat problems when playing games since I bought it, so I don't think it's because there's dust. As I said, this issue doesn't happen to me with the Sims 3 and I can play them well with power saver mode.
As you might know, the Sims 3 has a worse performance than the Sims 4. I've played both of them in my older computer and the Sims 4 was much smoother!
If there's no way to disable this, I will only play the Sims 3 then...
A cooling pad doesn't cost much. The Sims 3 was not as graphics intensive as the Sims 4 is. You can try lowering graphics to Low and see if that helps.
