Re: Sims 4 children and teen stuck at school but are at home can not play them.

I am having this same problem and the "leave school early" solution seems to be the most prevalent suggestion for this issue. However, I cannot have my Sim leave school early because that button does not appear. You can see on the attached picture that my other Sims who are at school or work have two icons showing but Max--my stuck Sim --only has one. Because the game thinks he's at school, he was not prompted to leave for school and "Go to School" is not an option when I click on him.

I have tried restarting, resetting him, and moving him out of the house, but he remains stuck "at school."

Any ideas?

Are you using mods in your game ?

If so, try removing them

when your sim goes to work the little lunch box/suitcase click on that and it should appear

Have you tried traveling to another lot ? Also are you using mods/cc in your game ?

Moving out and back in ?

I had this same issue since the most recent update. It didn't happen right away but then on the weekend for some reason they were home but stuck. Traveling lots didn't make a difference, restarting game didn't work, switching households didn't work, but selecting 'leave school early' did and finally let the game see them as home. Just a friendly FYI I experienced this bug as well but the leave school did luckily work for me. Thank goodness!! I wish I tried the easiest solution first but for some reason never thought to..just glad I found this thread and it worked.
