@jazzie205  It looks like sfc did its job, and the new error is the same as the old ones.  So the next step is a clean uninstall and reinstall of the graphics driver.  Here's how:

    https://crinrict.com/blog/2019/02/clean-re-install-of-graphics-drivers-with-display-driver-uninstaller-ddu.html

You can get a fresh copy of the newest driver for your laptop here:

    https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/3-series/ideapad-3-15itl6/82h8/downloads/driver-list/component?name=Graphics%20Processing%20Units%20%28GPU%29%20and%20Server-AI%20Accelerators&id=635380F4-448F-4129-AA77-265289D96F6F

You'll want the first one listed, the Intel VGA driver dated November 23.  You already have this driver installed, which is why it's necessary to start with a clean uninstall.  Restart your computer after reinstalling the driver and before trying to play.

If you get another crash, please post the new Reliability Monitor error.

the reliability report is still loading so I can send that when it comes in. When I load into the game, it's saying that my packs aren't downloaded and that my launcher is Origin when it's supposed to be the EA app and the packs are downloaded on there. The game is also incredibly slow. I have to switch between windows for anything to progress in game (click on "New Save", Minimize the window/go to "desktop 2" tab, go back to the game and it will load into CAS. Zoom in to the face, minimize, choppy zoom in).

@jazzie205  Please uninstall the EA App with Revo Uninstaller (the free version is fine) and reinstall it.  If your packs don't show up, please run searches for a few of them.  Open a File Explorer window, click This PC in the left panel, and enter the folder name for one of the missing packs in the search field in the upper-right corner.  This is the full list of packs:

    https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/extras-2/available-packs-dlc/

For example, if you're looking for Seasons, you'd search for EP05 .  Wait for the search to finish, then make sure the full file path is showing under each result.  If it's not, expand the window sideways as necessary.  Take a screenshot using Windows key-shift-S and attach it to a reply here.  Then repeat for one or two more packs.

Regardless of the above, I'd like to see a new dxdiag.  What you've described sounds like the graphics driver might not have installed correctly, but there are plenty of other possible causes too.

here's the new dxdiag. I uninstalled, reinstalled, and repaired the EA app. My packs are showing up as downloaded in the app but not in the game. the packs are also showing up in the "this pc search" as well as me going into program files myself

@jazzie205  The graphics driver looks fine, at least from what I can see.  Is the game still crashing or running slowly?

For the missing packs, are there any other results that what you showed in your screenshot?  This kind of problem is usually caused by having multiple copies of Sims 4 installed, with one holding the pack data and the game running from the other.  That's why I wanted to see all the results: it would show whether you had multiple copies of the game.

Please let me know what else you find, if anything, when you search for EP01, and repeat the search for another pack you own.  Please also open the EA App game library, click Sims 4, choose Manage > View properties, and list the location you see there:

the game is still crashing. it was stuck a pop up screen (attached, i removed my saves so i expected the home screen to look plain) and wouldn't allow me to x out of it, even if i did the whole switching monitors/displays thing. i left it alone for around 3-5 minutes and when i came back, the mods list came up and as i went to uncheck the box so it doesn't always show at startup, it crashed. i can try again without mods and see if its any different.

i checked again and the folder path i sent earlier is the only one on my pc.

@jazzie205  Please remove your mods and keep them removed while troubleshooting.  It's always best to remove any complicating factors until the game is stable again.

If you get another crash when trying to close the pop-up, try launching the game in windowed mode.  Go into Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4, open Optiions.ini, search for fullscreen , and set it to 0 (zero).

For the missing packs, I think at this point, the best approach is to uninstall Sims 4 with Revo as well, and reinstall it.  Before doing so, rename the Sims 4 folder in Documents > Electronic Arts to something that doesn't include "Sims 4" so Revo doesn't flag it for deletion.
