Re: Sims 4 doesn't recognise my internet connection in-game

I face the same problem, and it won't even let me check "Me, too." It says I have to be signed into acct, and I AM signed into acct -- my name is on top right -- yet, it gives me the red line across the circle. Likewise, I can't download the EA app, Sims4, or my old Sims 3 discs on my new laptop. Summary--can't play Sims at all. Why won't they recognize that I AM online and what can I do about it (PS-researched and already cleared cache.)

  • @JeanetteJeanette  For the issues with this site, what browser are you using, and does this still happen with a different browser?

For the rest, please try connecting your laptop to a different network, for example one at work/school, or a friend's house, or a Starbucks—whatever you can access.  You can also set your phone as a mobile hotspot, using data rather than your home wifi.  You wouldn't want to download all of Sims 4 or 3 this way, but the EA App is a small-enough download to be manageable.  Please use a different browser here as well.

If a different network doesn't help, please post a screenshot of whatever you see when you try to download the App.

  • I really appreciate your taking the time to reply. We live in a very rural area, out "in the middle of nowhere," so some of this is difficult, but nonetheless, we think we have this worked out. Thank you so much for your help!
