Re: Sims 4 game keeps crashing on loading screen
@Nicvlee Thanks for the dxdiag, which shows a few different issues that should be addressed. First, and most simply, the USB 3 driver is crashing. The fix may be as easy as unplugging all your devices that use a USB 3 connection and restarting your computer, then reconnecting them, so please do that now.
Next, a couple of Sims 4 crashes were attributed to a component of the newest VC++ runtimes, which Sims 4 uses. So please uninstall and reinstall them. Hit Windows key-i, select Apps, scroll down to the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables, and uninstall any copies from 2015 or newer. (Leave the 2013 and older versions alone.) You can get fresh copies here:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170
You'll need both the x86 and x64 versions, but skip the ARM version, which is for a different class of device. Restart your computer after installing and before trying to play.
If that doesn't help, please try playing in a clean user folder. Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game,a clean folder will spawn with no content. (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.) Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just let me know whether you can get far enough to start a new save and play in live mode for a bit.
