Re: sims 4 keeps crashing
@ChAoTiCxDrEaMeRz Please try disabling XMP and CPU Turbo Boost, both in your computer's BIOS. XMP should be easy to find; CPU Turbo Boost will likely be hidden deep within the Advanced settings. They may have slightly different names as well, for example another user with an Asus board said XMP was labeled DOCP for some reason. Point is, get both settings, then test Sims 4 again, in DirectX 11 mode.
If this helps, you can look for a BIOS update for your motherboard. Updates to fix stability issues on this platform have been rolling out for a couple months now, but not every board has received one. I can't tell in your case because your dxdiag doesn't list your exact model, but if you google the model number, you'll find the Asus support page along with drivers and other software. Your current BIOS version is 1402.
If this doesn't help, please test a new save in another clean Sims 4 folder. If that doesn't help either, please look for new errors in the Reliability Monitor. Hit Windows key-R and enter "perfmon /rel" without quotes, and you'll see a chart of errors and updates with a column for each day. Today is on the right.
Look for an error that happened at exactly the time of your most recent Sims 4 crash. If you find one, double-click it to see more details, then copy that info and paste it into a reply here. If you don't see a new error, check back in an hour or so—the Reliability Monitor doesn't always update right away.
