@agnes080898 Try running Origin and Steam as an admin, opening both before trying to launch Sims 4. To do so, right-click on each shortcut and select "Run as administrator."
If that doesn't help, please double-check that the Steam and Origin accounts you're signed into are linked to each other.
- 5 years ago@puzzlezaddict Hi thanks for the reply, Ive tried but still didnt work, i also recently cleared my drive C data to clear out some space, and realise its stupid to do it. Is that why and can someone help with recovering my file to help run sims 4 ?

@agnes080898 It sounds like you may have removed some essential files Sims 4 needs in order to run. Since you can't know without testing whether you've replaced all relevant files, the fastest way to address this is to uninstall Sims 4, then both Steam and Origin. For Sims 4, use Revo Uninstaller:
- Put aside your Sims 4 folder in Documents\Electronic Arts and rename it to something that doesn't include the words "Sims 4."
- Download Revo Uninstaller (the free version is fine) from here.
- Launch Revo, select Sims 4 from the list, and click Uninstall.
- Once the game is uninstalled, select "Moderate" under "scanning modes," and click Scan.
- Review the list, in case there's something you want to save; otherwise, click Select All, and then Delete.
- Close Revo, and restart your computer.
For Steam, use the uninstall guide here:
https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/3C73-90F9-F600-0266
For Origin, use Revo again:
- Quit Origin, then right-click on the Task Bar and open the Task Manager. Scroll through looking for Origin entries. If you find any, click on them and End Task.
- Clear Origin's cache.
- Launch Revo, select Origin from the list, and click Uninstall.
- When it finishes uninstalling, select "Moderate" under "scanning modes," and click Scan.
- If Revo finds any remaining registry entries, select all, delete, and click Next.
- Revo will display "Remaining Data and Folders." Select all of them except for the "Origin Games" folder, if it appears and if you have other games installed through Origin. Delete the rest.
- Close Revo, and restart your computer.
Next, download the full Origin installer and run it. Here's the direct download link:

Be sure to run both the installer and Origin itself as an admin: right-click on each and select "Run as Administrator." When you've reinstalled Steam, run it as an admin too, at least when you're downloading Sims 4 and the first time you try to launch it.
