Click on Granite Falls and then click on the lot you want to edit. On the bottom right, there is a build button - click that, and it will take you into the lot in build mode.
hank you, I've been searching all over for this very simple answer that everyone seems to have complicated responses for. I've been playing the sims for years and didn't even realize that was an option.
