@LiaCyclonee  What antivirus do you use?  It's possible the program is blocking Sims 4, so check its recent actions or threats or whatever category the user interface offers.  If the antivirus is the problem, set exceptions for TS4_x64.exe as well as Steam and Origin or the EA App, whichever you're using.  You may need to repair the game in Steam after changing the settings: right-click on Sims 4 in your game library and select Properties > Local file > Verify integrity of the game files.

If this doesn't help, try uninstalling the game through Steam and reinstalling to a different location, specifically a new folder you create for only this purpose.  You'll need to change the default game library within Steam to that folder.  Use a folder that's in the root folder of the drive of your choice, for example C:\Games is fine, but don't use C:\Program Files\Games.

    @rompecabezaszaddict I used to use Steam to play the sims 4, there i bought seasons and vampires because they were in discount. Time after y created my account in the EA App and bought city living and other packs and played without any problems. I uninstalled the game and didn't play for a wile but now i want to installed and it install the packs i bought in the EA App but whit the packs i bought in steam it says download error. i dont know what to do, the packs says manage in steam but in steam says i have to install the sims in steam, what do i do? that money was expensive (i'm from argentina and here is too expensive and they charge you taxes and its more expensive so buying it sgsin id not sn option) I really need help bc before it let me install those dlc but now it doesn't.

    @autosta7  You need to install Sims 4 through Steam, and uninstall the EA App version if you currently have it installed.  Once you've installed the base game and your Steam-owned packs, open the EA App and download the packs you own there, but not a second copy of the base game.

    If you have trouble with any of these steps, let me know which one, and what happens when you try it.

    I am having the exact same issue as autosta7. I uninstalled the game from ea app and reinstalled on steam. I still cannot download the addons through the EA App.

    I get this error message. After I wait and try again, it does the exact same thing. I have tried clearing the cache. I have tried uninstalling the ea app and just trying to play Sims from steam, which is what I prefer. But now it forces you to download and play Sims from the EA app. And now all of that money I spent on expansions was for literally nothing. Very frustrated.

    It says that I can connect with a person once I click through to the correct help topic. But my issue is not covered by any of the topics. And I can't find anywhere to connect with a real person, nor can I open a ticket.I promise I have been thorough in my search to solve this issue, the game was one of my favorite ways to relax.

    @thefleshcanvas  Pick a topic that allows you to access live chat.  It doesn't have to be an exact match.  "I can't login" usually works.

    @puzzlezaddict I uninstalled TS4 from EA but when I go to install the expansions from EA to use them from Steam it makes me download the full game.

    @ErenUwU_99  Are your Steam and EA accounts properly linked?  The test is to open an EA site (this one is fine) in a private browser window, where you're NOT already signed in.  Try to login with your Steam credentials, which you can do by clicking the Steam icon on the login window.  If you land in the correct EA account, they're properly linked.  If anything else happens, let me know what you see.
