Re: Sims 4 Stuck on 1st loading screen

@Syphililis  Please create a new admin Windows account and try playing in that.  Make it a local account, as in, don't link it with your Microsoft account.  You'll be able to launch Sims 4 without reinstalling anything, but you won't have any of your saves or other user content available.  That can be addressed later; the point here is to test.

If that doesn't help, please try playing in a clean boot:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows-da2f9573-6eec-00ad-2f8a-a97a1807f3dd

The one service to leave enabled is the EABackgroundService, which the EA App needs in order to run.  Disable the rest as described.

When you reboot your computer, go through the Task Manager's background processes list shutting down any service that doesn't absolutely need to be running, for example anything from MSI Afterburner to RGB software might still be enabled.  If you accidentally kill a critical process and it doesn't restart on its own, just reboot your computer again.

Don't open anything other than Sims 4 and the EA App while testing, not even a browser window.

hello puzzle addict. i created this new local admin account and tried to run the sims 4 from it, to no avail. i also did the clean reboot like u said and followed all the steps. but i somehow disabled my wifi connection and i couldnt figure out which service from system configuration it was that allowed wifi connection to reenable it. so i was unable to complete this solution unfortunately. i feel i am at the point of giving up. i appreciate all your time and effort on this. i am sorry for the wasting of your time. i don't think i will be playing the sims 4 anymore. best of wishes to you!

@Syphililis  The fact that the game works in the new account means the problem is with one or more settings in your main account.  We can try to address that, and I'm happy to make suggestions to that effect.  But you should know that it's often like searching for a needle in a haystack, with no sense of how long the process will take until it's solved.  So it might be easier to just use the new Windows account and transfer over your content.

Having said that, if you do want to fix your main account, I'd start with a virus scan just to make sure nothing is lurking on your computer.  I don't think it's likely, only that it should be eliminated as a source of error before doing other troubleshooting.  Please download Malwarebytes (the free trial is fine) from here:

    https://www.malwarebytes.com/mwb-download

Open it, click Scan > Custom Scan > Configure Scan, check all the boxes both for all scan types and for your C drive, and let it do its job.  This could take anywhere from a few minutes to several hours, depending on the amount of data and whether the scan finds anything., so you may want to set it to run while you're doing something else.  Please attach its report so I can take a look.

searching for a needle in a haystack doesn't sound like much fun 🙂 i think i will just begin the transfer of data because I honestly don't mind just playing on a different account! im just happy the game works again 🥳 because of you! i thank you for all your time and thoughts on helping me solve this problem. finally i can play in peace. salud.
