Hello. I am having the same problem. It gave me an error message and wouldn't let me play without downloading Lagacy, so I downloaded it and now it won't work WITH legacy. Any ideas as to what I should do?
Thanks in advance!
I did this, but then it said it would not run my Sims game without downloading Legacy. I'm so frustrated -_-
- @keighlypurtell22 when I say "I did this" i meant uninstalled everything, and un-clicked Legacy when re-installing it.
My computer (Macbook Pro) is up to date, so is my Origin.
If anyone knows how I could go about getting my money back please help me out! :-) @mariahklein08 and @keighlypurtell22 Discover University won't show up in the Legacy Edition. If you're not sure whether you need to run the LE, please run a dxdiag (Windows):

or post the full specs of your Mac as described here:
how do I uninstall it though?
I contacted EA who confirmed that I would not be able to play University on my MAC. They then refunded me my money
I had the same issue. I spoke with a representative that told me Discover University won't work with Legacy, and any Legacy user pretty much wouldn't be able to play any of the new expansion packs unless they got a new computer. Such B.S
- @natalie1238580 tried this and spent over an hour reinstalling all my expansions only for it to not even play unless i downloaded the legacy version ☹️

- @natalie1238580 Will the game still play without it because before I had university it told be it was required because of the system I'm playing on
@nykira97 If you played with Discover University on this computer before, you should be able to run the standard version now, regardless of Origin's warnings. You don't have to uninstall the game to get rid of the Legacy Edition either: just tell Origin to launch the standard version. Open your Origin game library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, select Game Properties > Advanced Launch Options, and choose 64-bit from the dropdown menu. If you don't see this option, right-click on the Sims 4 icon and select Repair, then restart your computer and look again.
If you have any trouble with this, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.
