@FinestCube83131  To test in a clean user folder, move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, if it launches, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just let me know whether you can get far enough to start a new save and play in live mode for a bit.

If that doesn't help, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

@hqrtzvrm  Which Sims 4 folder did you move, the one in Documents > Electronic Arts or a different one?  Did you install the game itself into Documents?  And does the EA App think Sims 4 is installed or not?  If it does, you can try launching the game from within your App game library.

Do you have the More CAS Columns mod? If you do, try deleting that one. Worked for me at least

I followed this advice and it works so how long should I wait before adding mods and cc back in?

@lovenardoo  You can add your mods and custom content back now, but you'll need to sort through the files to find out which ones are broken and which are still usable.  Here's a list of mods currently known to be broken:

For anything not on that list, you'll need to test yourself.  The 50/50 method can make the process a lot more efficient:

Once you've done that, you can move over the contents of saves, Tray (saved households and builds), Screenshots and Recorded Videos if you care about those, plus the UserSetting.ini file for the login rewards.  The rest can be discarded.

how to add back the mods because its in the folder but not in the game.?

@wxstexlulu  Please make sure you're adding your mods to the Sims 4 folder the game is actually reading.  Here's how to find it:

I'm having this same problem with my Sims right now. I hit new game and it's a white screen. I tried moving the folder like you said, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, I tried removing mods. None of this helped. I don't know what to do. What do you suggest?? Thanks in advance. -Angel
