@WAFFLEBRAIN Then add exceptions within Norton. I don't have a guide handy, but you can find one on Norton's website.
I have Norton. I added the exceptions exactly as written. Still the same problem.
I’ve had no gallery access or sims deliveries in months. I get this error code when I try the sims delivery. I’ve tried allowing certain files via my antivirus, as was suggested in another thread. I’ve uninstalled all my mods/CC. I don’t know what to do at this point. I use EA to launch the game. I’ve tried repairing the game through there as well. At this point I don’t know what to do. I think this actually started well before the infant update that’s been causing others problems.
@AstoriaRose Try pausing OneDrive syncing before launching Sims 4. You can do so by right-clicking on the OneDrive icon in the lower-right corner of your screen, selecting Pause syncing, and choosing whatever time frame works for you.

Did you ever get it working? I have tried everything over and over. I still don't have access to the gallery and get the Sims delivery error message. Thanks
@firequeen76 What antivirus do you use, and does it help to (temporarily) disable the antivirus? As long as you don't do anything else at the same time, your computer should be safe.

Kaspersky
I’ve disconnected it from my computer to check if the gallery will connect but it didn’t help. I’ve turned it off multiple times both the firewall and the antivirus to check. I’ve messed around with my antivirus so much turning everything off. I had a VPN App, but it said it wasn’t connected and it couldn’t connect so I just uninstalled it. I think you have to pay for it
My OneDrive was having issues. It kept backing up everything so I’ve just stopped it from backing up and didn’t know if it was interfering so I disconnected it.
I ran the command. I forget everything but you’re supposed to find out if you’re at least X9 or 11 and I think my computer is 12. So I can run everything I need to on it.
I checked windows defender, searched and searched for different possible things to turn off. I’ve turned off the firewall, and the anti virus on windows defender. I did find an option to do that, but normally when I check windows defender, it says that it’s being handled by a different app.
I got a windows cc cleaner and ran that it updated software it removed cache files And cleaned the computer and updated drivers.
I have repaired the game multiple times. Although I haven’t uninstalled it. I repaired my EA app because it was having issues.
I tried to set my phone as a hotspot, but I wasn’t able to. I was going to try that. There was some instructions that I found.
I took everything from my tray file and put it on the desktop. All that did was take away all my saved households and lots and I still couldn’t connect. I put it back where it was supposed to go.
I’ve deleted my cache and also the thumbnail file you’re supposed to.
I moved the game from the EA folder to the desktop and I had no saves on there and still cannot connect to the gallery.
I also also deleted all of those other files like the last crash and last exception. It said that if there’s lots of numbers are really old and I checked the dates they were like from 2015, so I deleted all of those but didn’t delete any numbers.
Nothing made the gallery connect. I hit connect on the gallery and it says connecting, and it never does.
And I still get a Sims delivery error. I told it to only check on startup as opposed to every 30 minutes because it was really bothering me. But I am curious to see if it ever changes so that’s why I have it on start up.
I’ve tried to contact someone from EA, but there is no way to do that. I thought I found something and thought I sent a message, but I haven’t gotten anything back and I can’t find an option to ask somebody. The bot only reiterated everything I already found.
There was another post that said the EA person made it an exception for this person and it works now.
I can’t speak to somebody and I don’t know how to do that.
It was connecting until I downloaded the two kits that we just got a while back and then it was not. It’s been over a month.
also, I appreciate you responding. I’m getting kind of frustrated so it’s nice to talk to somebody.
- firequeen769 months agoNew VanguardOh, I also checked my clock. The clock is the exact same time as my phone so I’m pretty sure that it’s fine but I did try to see if there’s anything I could change there and it said it was updating but didn’t change anything.

My computer is hardwired to the router and everything else works fine on the router. I don’t really think it’s my signal. I have checked the signal through the EA site and it said it’s very strong and can handle multiple things at once. I don’t really think it’s my connection.
@firequeen76 Does it help to disable Sims Delivery content entirely? Please do that, then restart your computer and try to load the Gallery again.
If that doesn't help, please create a new admin Windows account and test there. Make it local, as in, don't link it to your Microsoft account. You'll be able to launch Sims 4 without reinstalling anything, but your saves and other user content won't be available. That's fine for the purposes of this test.
If the Gallery doesn't work in the new account, please do try using your phone as a hotspot again, or borrow someone else's. It's a helpful test and simple to do, and I don't want to tell you to waste any more of your time troubleshooting system issues if the problem is the router or ISP.
It's also worth confirming that you have an adult account. You can see the birthdate on ea.com, under Account Settings.

You cannot disable sims delivery. You can tell it to stop checking for new content. I did that. Restarted my computer and the game and no gallery access.
I checked my ea account is not a teen account.
I created a new MS account signed in to the EA app, and Sims, and no gallery access and I got a sims delivery error.
So that leaves mobile hotspot. I will try it tomorrow. I couldn't get it to work, but I saw some instructions somewhere.
I will update tomorrow once it done.
I appreciate your help. - firequeen769 months agoNew Vanguard
I got rid of my internet package because it cost too much and I was always over minutes. So now I get like 5 gb of 5G and then it goes into 3G. I don't think I have any left as it said it was connected but no internet. So I don't know if it works. But there was no gallery after it was connected. I don't know if I set it up right. I think so.
Anyhow still no gallery access. Thanks
@firequeen76 Do you have a laptop, and if so, could you take it somewhere else: work, a friend's house, a coffee shop, the local library? I still think it's worth testing on someone else's wifi, as you've already tried the usual troubleshooting steps.
It's not the same as having a Gallery connection in-game, but you can download items from the Gallery using the website too. You'd just need to manually move the corresponding files to the Tray folder. At the very least, it's a temporary workaround while we try to figure this out.

My game is on a desktop. I can’t move that to someone else’s place. Andif I borrowed a laptop, perhaps could I just download it and then test it someplace else?
It’s not really something I could do though like long-term. But I agree it would be good to test. I just not sure if it’s a reliable test because I feel like it might be my computer and probably not the game. Unless it is just the game.
I mean it was working until I downloaded the two kits and then it stopped so something changed then.
I will keep trying to work on an alternate connection for my game. I appreciate the advice and all this support. It’s really cool thanks so much
@firequeen76 It could still be the connection if the phone hotspot was too slow or somehow has the same issue (unlikely but not impossible). I would say though that testing on a different device, especially one you're borrowing that hasn't had the game installed before, would be useful, that is if it's possible. You could test a laptop on your home network, and if it works, the desktop itself is the issue. If it doesn't, you'd want to test the laptop on a different network just in case this problem is related to your EA account.
- firequeen768 months agoNew Vanguard@puzzlezaddict I am trying to test it on a laptop, but it has not been easy. My brother uses his all the time. I will work on it. I appreciate your help.
- firequeen767 months agoNew Vanguard@puzzlezaddict I just wanted to update you. I tried to connect my computer to two different hot spots on two different phone networks and it did not work. I made a new post as I couldn't find this one when I looked on my phone. I found it in my profile on my computer so I wanted to answer your last question. It has been three months and I still can't get on the gallery.
I have been trying to turn off my antivirus and still no gallery access. And I still get the error code for sims delivery. @firequeen76 Thanks for the update. Since the suggestions in this thread didn't help, I can only think of this:

Otherwise, please continue with your new thread here:
- firequeen767 months agoNew Vanguard@puzzlezaddict Thank you for your help. I was able to follow the instructions..I am still getting the error message. I had it on to see if it would come up. Anyhow I appreciate your help. I will refer to the new thread. Thanks
- firequeen766 months agoNew Vanguard@puzzlezaddict I wanted to let you know that I can get on the gallery now. After the update today I had access once I got back in the game. I appreciate so much all you did to help me. Thanks so much.
